RaShada C. Wood is a teacher, author and empowerment speaker from Commerce, Georgia.
RaShada graduated from the Commerce City Schools System and then attended Georgia State for her undergrad and master’s degrees. In 2017, she received her specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College. RaShada is employed as a third grade teacher and was voted the 2016-2017 “Teacher of the Year” for Commerce Elementary and then named the system wide “Teacher of the Year.”
In July of 2018, RaShada released her first book "Lost," which takes its text from the "Parable of the Lost Coin." With close to 400 copies sold, the book continues to reignite God given passions and dreams in women. Released in March of 2019, her second book “Built for This” is an empowerment book for married women or women desiring marriage.
RaShada is a very busy speaker who has taken many stages. She’s spoken at churches, conferences and many empowerment based events. RaShada is continuously working on creating and editing educational content designed to encourage students and teachers with fun characters. She is also the host of a podcast for teachers, "Building Educators With Wood."
RaShada is married to James E. Wood Jr. and they have one son, James III.
